Phenomenology
Reading Group Department of Philosophy University of California, San Diego |
The Phenomenology Reading
Group (unofficially abbreviated: 'phe-re-grou', pronounced
'fay-ray-groo') is an informal group devoted to reading
through and discussing some of the major texts in twentieth
century European philosophy, with a special focus on the
classical works of the phenomenological movement. The
group meets on a weekly (sometimes biweekly) basis.
Each term we pick a figure (or two) and try to read through
as much of one (or two) of their major works as is
possible. Throughout the term, we each take turns
opening the discussion of the week's readings. Anyone
interested in participating should contact Clinton
